Scenario Webinar #8, 01/23/2020
This webinar focused on the trend drivers to be incorporated in the travel demand model. These drivers include operational and behavioral impacts of transportation technology (e.g., connected and autonomous vehicles). The team presented how emerging technologies factor into the travel demand model’s forecasting process for each of the different scenarios. The values of various levers for each scenario were presented for discussion. Additionally, the land use team reviewed updates to the land use allocation drivers of capacity (available growth in a place type) and suitability (attractiveness of a place type for growth based on a variable) in response to prior input from the Working Group.
